The first-day fundamentals
Manual lifting, pedestrian traffic and blind corners, dock and trailer safety, PPE, housekeeping, and how to report a hazard without fear. The onboarding block every light-industrial site wants and almost nobody documents.
Forklift and welding are knowledge assessments, not operator certifications — and that is on purpose. Nobody can legitimately certify a forklift operator over the internet; OSHA requires someone to watch you drive the truck at the site where you will work. We tell you exactly what our certificate is and what still has to happen on the floor.

Most staffing agencies hand you a body and a timesheet. The hazard briefing, the lockout awareness, the dock-safety talk — that all lands on your supervisor, on day one, in the middle of a shift. We move that upstream.
The documentation gap, closed
When an inspector or your insurer asks what training a temporary worker received before they touched the equipment, "the agency said they covered it" is not an answer. Every certificate we issue names the worker, the standard, the score, the date, and the hands-on step still owed — and your branch has a copy on file.
Host-employer duties do not transfer
OSHA treats temporary workers as jointly employed. We handle the training we can legitimately deliver and say plainly where our part stops, so your team knows exactly which evaluations are still yours to perform and document.
Screening before the placement
An assessment score tells you what a candidate actually knows before they show up — not what a resume claims. Ask your branch to run candidates through the relevant assessment as part of the order.

Does this cost anything?
No. The training is free for Lingo Staffing associates, applicants, and staff. There is no card to enter and no subscription — you just need the access code from your recruiter or branch office to open the courses.
Why do I need an access code?
We build these courses ourselves rather than reselling someone else’s, and we keep them for the people who work with us. Getting a code is not a hurdle: call any branch and ask, and they will give you one whether you are already working with Lingo or still applying. You enter it once on your device and it stays unlocked.
Is the certificate an OSHA certification?
No, and be careful of anyone who tells you otherwise. OSHA does not certify or endorse online training providers. What you earn here is a knowledge certificate: proof you completed the training and passed the written exam. For tasks like forklift operation or applying locks and tags on live equipment, a supervisor or qualified evaluator still has to observe you doing the work on the actual equipment before you perform it. That hands-on step is stated on every certificate we issue.
Can I really not get forklift certified online?
Not legitimately. 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(ii) requires a practical evaluation of the operator driving the truck in the workplace where they will work, plus a re-evaluation at least every three years. Online covers the formal instruction portion only. Any site selling you a "forklift certification" for $59 with no one watching you drive is selling you a document that does not satisfy the standard — and your employer is the one who gets cited.
Who gets a copy of my certificate?
You do, at the email address you enter, plus your Lingo branch so it is on file with your record. Nothing is shared with a client employer without your placement going forward.
Is the training available in Spanish?
Yes. Every course runs fully in English or Spanish — every module, every exam question, and the certificate itself. Switch languages at any point, including mid-course, and your progress carries over.
I am an employer. Can I send my own crew through this?
Yes, and clients do. The training is free to use, the certificate names the site or employer, and your supervisor gets a copy to file. If you want a course built around your specific equipment or a site-specific hazard, talk to your branch — that is a conversation we are glad to have.
What happens if I fail the exam?
Nothing bad. You see every question you missed with the reasoning and the regulation behind it, and you can retake it. The point is that you know the material, not that you got it right on the first try.
